Fleming Amendment Passes to Prohibit Illegal Aliens on Military Bases

Congressman John Fleming, M.D. released the following statement after his amendment passed, during consideration of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, that would prohibit funds from being used to to house illegal aliens at military bases.
"Recently, Health and Human Services and the Department of Defense made an agreement to provide housing to individuals of an illegal status. By providing housing for illegal immigrants on military installations, we are wasting scarce defense dollars that should be used to train and equip our soldiers to fight our nation's wars."
